drag me out (text: matthias strotkötter / torsten weindl)
i've been trying to find an answer to this
between a soaking shirt and a bus to miss
in a place where i could be drowned in a sea
caught between the street and me
come and drag me out into the water falling from the sky
let me be drowned til i can never beg you to
tell me why i can't stand the rain
is it the water in my neck
crawling down my shivering back
my moist hands touching my mouldy pants
a wasted day i cannot stay
all i need's a ray of light
cause i was born in summer
and summer children appreciate the bright
i know that rain is just an opener
in a concert of the sun
a cleansing ritual for the bitter ones
tell me why i can't stand the rain
